Logline

After years of international success, the musical 'Schinken, Schinken: Lust auf Fleisch' - inspired by the cult movie 'Jamón, Jamón' - arrives in Berlin. Spanish immigrant Penélope, decides to audition for the main role in an attempt to relaunch the successful career that she always deserved but a betrayal by Penélope Cruz, her best friend back to her childhood in Alcobendas, truncated. As she awaits the final call, her past in Spain and her present in Berlin will collide while reality destroys fiction.

Smiling Girl

Pau Palop works as a political scientist in a German research institute. His research focuses on the transnational links that emigrants maintain with their homelands. In the past, he has scripted and directed videos for political campaigns. David Carro studied Cinema and Media in Madrid and Nürnberg. Then he moved to Berlin for some years, where he continued exploring techniques and developing different projects. At the moment he lives in Madrid, where he works as an audiovisual journalist specialised on television.
